Politics or not, David Cameron must not cave in to the EU

David Cameron

David Cameron must not cave into the EU or the European Court of Human Rights, whatever the politics or the pressure from the Libs and Nick Clegg, the EU is fast developing into a dictatorship even ordering our government to produce legislation to give prisoners the vote to the EU timetable. Cameron must ignore the Libs and such as Ken Clark, David Cameron needs to stand up to the EU, it may be his last chance and there are currently 3 main issues:

  1. Votes for prisoners
Parliament has voted overwhelmingly to not give the vote to ANY prisoner and that should be it, as a follow-up the Conservatives should introduce legislation making it illegal for prisoners to claim compensation.
  2. The EU Budget
Cameron backed down last time, probably under pressure from Clegg but the politics of this is that there is no reason why the EU should not be implementing the same sort of cutbacks as sovereign states such as the UK, they cannot go on living in this fantasy land as if nothing had happened and as if they are immune from world events, the current budget must not rise one single penny.
  3. Individual Country Financial Rescues
Ireland made sense but outside of Ireland we should not be involved, we of course have the legacy left by Brown, Darling & co and they really left a smoking bomb, I think the best Cameron can do here is to put a cap on it and say that is the limit, no more!

David Cameron has never been in a stronger position to simply say NO and this can be the start of implementing manifesto pledges to pull out of the ‘European Court of Human Rights and start pulling away from the EU, it serves no purpose.
