William Hague, what has happened to the Star Turn?

The front-runner in the leadership race for Scottish Conservative Party Murdo Fraser MSP has said that if he wins he will disband the party and form a new Right of Centre party for Scotland.

The Conservative Party in Scotland seems to be coming to a cross roads, the Conservative Party lost all 11 seats in the 1997 election and have never recovered, the brand being made toxic by far left-wing lies put out by the SNP, Labour and the Lib Dem’s all of which are far left parties, in fact the voters in Scotland now have no choice, it is left-wing or far left-wing!

This of course isn’t as drastic or damaging to David Cameron as some of the press are trying to make out because up until 1965 the party in Scotland was known as the Unionist Party, go to Further Reading, and was an independent party but sat with the Conservative Party in Parliament and they were known as the Conservative and Unionist Party.

Having done substantial business in Scotland I can tell you that you don’t open up with an English Manager because you will fail and re-branding the party in Scotland as a Right of Centre party will, with the right policies attract back the Scottish vote but, and here is the problem, they will be at odds with the policies of the coalition because currently David Cameron is leading a Left of Centre party/coalition.

I think a strong Right of Centre Scottish Unionist Party could be a powerful help to David Cameron in returning the English Conservative Party to its Right of Centre roots, which he has to for the sake of the country, it could also show up whether or not David Cameron is a true Conservative of principle and vision, a sign post politician or a Liberal Centre Left politician known as a flag pole politician. Tony Blair and Nick Clegg are flag pole politicians, blowing with the wind, they would serenade a dog turd if it won them votes!

It will take a true sign post politician of the Centre Right to really deliver what is required to get this country moving, lets see if it starts in Scotland.
