William Hague, brilliant author of historic masterpieces, shrewd politician and someone who can command the House of Commons like no one else currently in Parliament but right now he is not the William we used to know!
William Hague, a politician who became the leader of the Conservative Party 5 years before his time, a brilliant orator who should have a real force in this Conservative/Lib Dem coalition, he is needed but he is, in the main, silent.
Capable of completely commanding the commons William Hague has stayed out of the general tussles within the coalition, sticking strictly to his brief, I imagine it is a story similar to David Davis who found a route out without losing face. David Davis obviously did not agree with the David Cameron leadership and wanted to be free to criticise, he knew that as a cabinet member within a Conservative government he would have to support many policies ge thought were wrong and not wanting to be disloyal he left the cabinet after finding a convenient point of principle.
William Hague, on the other hand, has chosen to stay within the fold but must be in a similar position, once described as like a Harold Wilson but talks and thinks like Margaret Thatcher he must at times be in a very difficult position because whatever he is David Cameron is no Margaret Thatcher!

William Hague is a very popular politician and could he be keeping his powder dry for a reason, he doesn’t get involved publicly in issues outside his department but is ideally placed should David Cameron fall, he stands head and shoulders above anyone else, a sort of elder statesman at a very young age!
By keeping his powder dry and sticking purely to his foreign affairs brief he could easily stand against Cameron in a leadership fight without being seen as disloyal but all the time putting people off the scent by stating he is just not interested.
I really do hope that this is the case because we simply can’t afford to lose a political star like William Hague at this time when real political talent is difficult to find.
