Theresa May – so there we have it, congratulation to Theresa May on election to be Conservative Party Leader and the Prime Minister tomorrow (Wednesday 13th July 2016) afternoon after she has been to the palace.
Now is the time to clear out all the deadwood and get this country moving again, we will see what Theresa May is made of!
Theresa May is the new leader and the next Prime Minister of this great country and of course the Labour Party and Lib Dem’s are baying for a General Election, this is nothing to do with democracy, it is about trying to derail Brexit.
Brexit really does mean Brexit, access to but no membership of the free market, no free movement of peoples, return of our fisheries including the internationally recognosed 200 mile fishing limit etc.
All Theresa May and the Conservative Party are doing is fulfilling their manifesto which promised a Referendum and promised the Conservative Party would implement the result of that Referendum.
With regard to Theresa May becoming a Prime Minister unelected by the British public, there may have been an argument if Andrea Leadsom had been elected being only a junior minister but Theresa May was a very senior member of David Cameron’s team and involved in all major policy decisions, it should also be remembered that we don’t have a presidential system, we do not elect a Prime Minister, we elect a government and the leader of the winning party becomes Prime Minister.
Theresa May made a good start with her campaign launch speach, it will be very interesting to watch how she builds her team but she has to fully understand that Brexit really does mean Brexit, access to but no membership of the free market, no free movement of peoples, return of our fisheries including the internationally recognosed 200 mile fishing limit etc
We wish Theresa May well, she could well become a really great Prime Minister, there are certainly going to be interesting times ahead!
