Spurs under Daniel Levy remain one of the most financially viable and best run football clubs in Europe, if not the world and still manage to excite beyond belief on Transfer Deadline Day!
Wow, even for Spurs that was an exciting transfer window and Daniel Levy must be one of the best and certainly the toughest club Chairman in the Premiership, the genius of Levy is that he has strengthened the side beyond recognition bringing in £60m worth of talent but taking sales into account he has nearly balanced the books with net spending around £7m and kept the wage bill under control, in addition all the players he has sold apart from Rafael Van der Vaart and Luca Modric were fringe players who really did not figure last season.
Andre Villas-Boas (ABV) has just found out, if he didn’t know already, that Spurs is a very special football club, it is rare to have a Chairman who has the courage of his own judgement in giving ABV another chance in the premiership and then backing his new manager to the hilt, ABV has certainly never experienced a transfer window like this one, the only sad part is that we missed out, for now, on Joao Moutinho!
So let us look at the IN’s and OUT’s!
IN’s
Vertonghen £10m
Dembele £15m
Sigurdsson £8m
Adebayor £5m
Dempsey £6m
LIoris £12m
TOTAL £56m
OUT’s
Van der Vaart £10m
dos Santos £4m
Modric £30m
Pienaar £5m
TOTAL £49m
To further add to their coffers for the January or next summers transfer window Spurs still have excess players to sell if funds are needed, enough to bring in Joao Moutinho in January
PLAYER STOCK TO SELL!
Bentley £5m
Dawson £8m
Huddleston £8m
Gomes £5m
Jenas £3m
Parker £6m
TOTAL £35m
To add to what was a very good transfer window for Spurs, ABV and Daniel Levy both Defoe and Lennon have signed long-term contracts, WELL DONE YOU SPURS – SPURS 6 NORWICH 0

@dalewood £7m and we are worse off. Mr Levy I’m afraid Is more worried about a bargain than a top player.
