Sinn Féin IRA not about democracy, just opened up a 2nd front

Sinn Féin IRA were supposed to have come to a historic agreement about the government of Northern Ireland and forsaken the gun and the bomb for democracy but did they just open a second front?

Sinn Féin IRA negotiations was trumpeted as a major triumph for the diplomacy of Tony Blair but was he just taken for a ride and sucked into the Sinn Féin IRA plan!

I was very suspicious at the time of the Northern Ireland negotiations with Sinn Féin IRA, Blair claimed a major success but he just seemed to give Sinn Féin IRA everything for precious little in return but the public went along with it as a better alternative to the gun and the bomb but there is no question that the big gains were by Sinn Féin IRA!

A lot of Unionists in Northern Ireland would now say the IRA continues but that Sinn Féin IRA just opened up a second front based on how Sinn Féin IRA interpreted democracy, it is surprising and disturbing that Sinn Féin get so many votes at elections and a question has to be asked as to why they get so much apparent support but it is plainly obvious that Sinn Féin IRA are not interested in democracy by the way Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness stood for election to the Westminster Parliament but refused to take their seats when elected although they were still allowed to claim over £100,000 in expenses, they showed no interest in the electorate they were supposed to be representing because obviously they were  only representing Sinn Féin IRA.

Sinn Féin IRA are only interested in democracy if they are winning!

Martin McGuinness is standing down from his duties as an MP, duties he has never fulfilled, and can claim £30k+ expenses to wind down an operation he never set up, once again we are standing for the 3 card trick but was there ever any alternative in Northern Ireland, have the Blair negotiations, as with devolution on the mainland, laid the foundations for the complete future breakup of the United Kingdom, just another Blair legacy which will haunt us for decades!

Having said all that, no one can deny that things are immeasurably better in Northern Ireland and yes, the republican ministers have done some very good things and taken a full part in democracy and to follow on from that, there is no excuse for the violence currently happening in Northern Ireland over the flying of the Union Jack because that is not taking part in democracy which demands peaceful protest!

But I can understand that Unionist do at times feel that they have had a raw deal, they can feel the Britishness of Norther Ireland slipping away, Northern Ireland is part of the UK and the Union Jack should fly every day business takes place, the republicans have given up the gun and the bomb but they have gained something so much more valuable, a powerful place in government.

Sinn Féin IRA they showed no interest in the electorate they were supposed to be representing because obviously they were  only representing Sinn Féin IRA.

The republicans have gained an enquiry into Bloody Sunday which cost in excess of £200m and produced the only result the republicans would have accepted but where are the enquiries into Bloody Friday, Enniskillen, Omagh and the bombing campaign throughout the UK mainland which injured innocent men, women and children, the IRA accused the British of having a shoot to kill policy but although there was a shoot to kill policy in Norther Ireland it was the policy of the IRA!

Ireland is a lovely country and the people are just brilliantly warm and friendly and there was a simple solution to the Northern Ireland troubles but the IRA would never have accepted a democratic result and the solution was a referendum on remaining as part of the UK but Sinn Féin IRA are only interested in democracy if they are winning!
