Press regulation and well done to the Newspapers for heeding the advice of ‘Its just life’ and banding together to reject the Labour and Lib Dem stitch up on press regulation designed to protect a future left-wing administration and make political control of the press a potential reality.
Miliband and Clegg drew Cameron into a trap and gave him no option but to agree to their version of Press Regulation, Cameron just did not have enough votes in parliament!
The Press Regulation trap set by Miliband and Clegg was one Cameron tried to avoid by sending Oliver Letwin, a potential defeat in parliament was being painted as an embarrassing defeat by the media but would it have been?
I think Cameron ought to have called their bluff and forced a vote in parliament, he would have lost but the defeat could quite easily have been seen as an honourable defeat on the side of freedom and apart from papers like the Mirror it would have been very difficult for the Newspapers not to support Cameron at the next general election.Â

Press regulation we urge the press to reject the current proposals!
David Cameron missed a major opportunity to distance himself from the Lib Dem’s and put himself and the Conservative Party firmly on the side of Freedom and Democracy which are in severe danger if the current press regulations come into force, particularly if we have a Labour or Labour/Lib Dem government, 2015 could be the last free and democratic elections in this country, unless we are very, very careful!
