Politics in the UK have been dumbed down over the past 15 years with 13 years of Blair and Brown fantasy politics but at last, a politician who’s brave enough to tell the truth.

Tim Montgomerie – Editor of Conservative Home wrote in the Daily Mail on Friday:
There is a vacuum at the heart of British public life where truth and bravery should be, on almost every subject there is a shortage of honesty and courage.

I remember when attending a School Governors meeting and we were talking about prize giving, I stupidly asked what had to be achieved by the pupils to win a prize and was told quite directly that everyone got a prize, we can’t have winners, what a load of twaddle and the politics of the lowest common denominator!

Michael Gove

Enter Michael Gove, I was never quite sure about him, he is an acquired taste but he is now emerging as a brave, principled sign post politician who actually has beliefs which is refreshing after the Blair ‘me’ years, Michael Gove is not about Michael Gove but about what he believes in, the politics of ambition!

Gove was brave enough to champion, in vigorous fashion, the freedom of the press at the Levison enquiry, challenged by Levison and ridiculed in parts of the Left-Wing media but he was 100% right and now his proposals for our education system have been leaked but what a breath of fresh air and common sense in this era of coalition politics.

A lot of the attention has been around comments by Nick Clegg that he was kept in the dark but it is quite obvious that he had to be kept in the dark, the Lib Dem’s are one of the biggest brakes on our recovery stopping/blocking major reforms which are essential to our recovery both in the economic sense and the confidence sense. Major reforms the electorate voted for such as controls on immigration, drawing further away from the European Union reducing the enormous cost of their beaurocracy, Human Rights reforms etc. and then you have the ludicrous green agenda which will achieve nothing but increase the cost of living.

Let us look at the precious Education system that Lib Dem’s, Labour, some of the teaching profession and the left-wing press want to preserve, sadly the move to the current system was actually started by Margaret Thatcher when she abolished the Grammar Schools, which I am sure she regretted, and took away a major opportunity for gifted children from less affluent backgrounds to achieve at the highest level, they were world-class schools destroyed on the altar of progressive teaching. I remember when attending a School Governors meeting and we were talking about prize giving, I stupidly asked what had to be achieved by the pupils to win a prize and was told quite directly that everyone got a prize, we can’t have winners, what a load of twaddle and the politics of the lowest common denominator!

“Let our children grow tall and yes let some grow taller if they have it in them, with freedom will come equality of opportunity and with that real freedom” –Margaret Thatcher

The current system, so protected by the left-wing, the left-wing press, Labour and the Lib Dem’s is based on every child taking the one GCSE exam which is so good and successful it had led to the UK slipping ever further down the world league tables, children leave school barely able to read and write, employers complain that the school leavers simply don’t have the academic skills and Universities say they have to put new student through a basic English course just so that they can construct an essay.

The pass rate for these exams is in the nineties, which in itself should raise alarm bells, only just challenging enough to test the less academically gifted children and a doddle for the most gifted in typical left-wing fashion the GCSE has taken our once great education system down to the lowest possible denominator. We need an education system to lead the world, to challenge the less well academically gifted and allow the academically gifted to sore to new heights.

A warning to everyone listening to the likes of Nick Clegg, Clegg is not fighting to preserve this current dumbed down education system for his own family, he wouldn’t put his children through the state system, they will, like Nick Clegg get the best education money can buy to maintain the left-wing elitist cliché that has such an influence on all parts of our government, Labour or Conservative!

Now we have Michael Gove, one of the few brave and honest politicians who actually believes in something, if he fulfills his potential then the future could be exciting for our country and we need that to happen like never before but do not be fooled by the left-wing cliché, their agenda is not yours or our agenda, they only have their own!
