Politics and Political Correctness, Ken is in trouble again!

If any Minister was going to get himself into trouble with the political correctness within politics it was always going to be Ken Clarke!

Ken Clarke doesn’t do it in halves, not only has he got himself into trouble with political correctness within politics but he is also under attack from the whole women’s movement

Ken Clarke has stated that some rape cases are more serious than others, well apart from the fact that any rape is very serious I would have thought Ken was stating the blooming obvious

If a girl/woman is attacked and raped in the street or where ever then that is a very serious crime and should command the highest punishment but if a girl/women goes to a boy’s room after a meal and a few drinks then she knows what she is going for. It is perfectly correct and right that a girl/woman can say stop at any point and the man should stop but once they are in that room it is her word against his and I don’t care what anybody says she will have known what they were going to the room for and this cannot be as serious a rape as someone being attacked.

I agree that where a rape has actually taken place (man on woman or woman on man) the assailant should be punished but if the couple are alone in a room with no signs of a struggle just how can you prove anything or is anything the girl/woman says to be taken as correct, very dangerous!

It is also essential that anonymity exists for both parties, once a man has been named he is ruined, there have been several cases recently where it has been proven that the man has been essentially set up because in a rape case a man is guilty until proven innocent and even when proven innocent the mud will still stick, anonymity is essential.

This post won’t go down very well with the politically correct womans movement but it is common sense and someone has to say it!

Finally for people like Ed Miliband to start calling for Ken Clarke’s sacking is just another bandwagon for the Labour party to jump on and just shows how naive they really are, Ken has apologised for if he was misunderstood, all rape is a very serious crime and proven rape should be dealt with as such! For the record I do not agree with reducing the tariff still further for convicted rapists, I think that is just wrong, Ken should look at it again but he is just trying to unravel the mess left by Labour.
