Margaret Thatcher, the persuit of Freedom and the reality of real politics!

Post first published 4th May 2009 whilst Labour were still in power.
I am republishing this post because it highlights the path David Cameron should be taking, magnifies the thinking of Margaret Thatcher and identifies the problem with socialism, the Lib Dem’s have said that people feared the return of Thatcherism but the 80s and early 90s, apart from a couple of blips, were the most successful period in probably 100 years so roll back the Thatcher years, the country need them!
With the current governments supposed pursuit of equality it is important to remember that equality in real politics, can never be achieved
With the current governments supposed pursuit of equality it is important to remember that equality in real politics, can never be achieved, many governments have tried, mostly communist but all have only succeeded in creating a controlling elite intent on monitoring, spying, high taxation and milking the system.

Margaret Thatcher never chased equality, her target was ‘FREEDOM’, in her own words “Let our children grow tall and yes let some grow taller if they have it in them, with freedom will come equality of opportunity and with that real freedom” we have lost most of our freedoms since she left office, the fight to regain them must start NOW!

Finally, to finish another quote from Margaret Thatcher to set you thinking, you couldn’t think of a more appropriate quote for our current situation and government!

“The trouble with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.”

Think what we achieved, we now have to do it again, I really hope David Cameron is up to it!
