Argentina’s UN threat: the Falklands and Argentina’s Colonialism!

So now Argentina is going to take the UK to the UN for militarising the Falklands but it is a conflict of Argentina’s own making and it is the history of Argentina’s own aggression which forces the UK to defend its outpost!

Falkland Islands – Argentina’s President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner has accused Britain of acting like a colonial power by deploying its most powerful worship – and the Duke of Cambridge – to the region. “We cannot interpret in any other way the deployment of an ultra-modern destroyer accompanying the heir to the throne, who we would prefer to see in civilian attire,” Mrs Kirchner said. Demanding that David Cameron “give an opportunity for peace and dialogue”, she pledged to lodge a complaint at the UN about the presence of HMS Dauntless and the Duke.

Mrs Kirchner – President of Argentina

This is the anniversary of the Falklands conflict and Argentina aggression so it is natural for the Duke of Cambridge to visit the Falkland and his visit has been deliberately low key being part of, what would be, his normal deployment and taking into account the Argentina rhetoric and the fact that the Falklands is a UK Military base I can see no problem with a visit by HMS Dauntless to join in the celebrations.

Argentina just does not get it, apart from the fact that the UK’s right to the Falkland Islands has been proven many times in an International Court, Argentina still press their claims and Mrs Kirchner’s demand that David Cameron allows an opportunity for peace and dialogue is laughable, it is Argentina issuing the rhetoric of aggression not the UK and it is Argentina which is preaching colonialism by wanting to negotiate the transfer of the Falklands into Argentina’s hands without the consent of the people of the Falkland Islands!

You see Mrs Kirchner the UK is no longer a colonial power, we gave our empire freedom and we no longer want to be a colonial power but where a population wants to remain British we respect their wishes and the Falkland Islands is 100% behind remaining British, which is why we fought so hard to take them back after you invaded costing 258 British lives.

Mrs Kirchner, think on it, this is true democracy, if the Falkland Islanders vote to join Argentina then the UK will have no problem but they want to remain British, neither Britain nor the Falkland Islanders will bow to Argentina colonialism!
