European Union survival strategy by Germany, the end game!

European Union, built on a dream, fueled by ego based on foundations of quicksand, ever since the start of the European Union the participating parties have tried to hide the fact that the end result had to be full political and fiscal union for it to survive long-term by they knew their electorates would never agree. Do you remember our one and only referendum on membership of the European Union when it was dressed up as a free trade area and called the Common Market?

European Union, built on a dream, fueled by ego based on foundations of quicksand, ever since the start of the European Union the participating parties have tried to hide the fact that the end result had to be full political and fiscal union.

At the end of the nineties Germany and France started pushing for the European Union currency, the Euro which led to the creation of the Euro-Zone but they did this against advice and presumably with full knowledge that they had not put the mechanisms in place so sustain a single currency and the results are being seen now.

It is a fact that the Euro-Zone can’t survive without full political and fiscal union and at last Angela Merkel is openly admitting that fact in public but can she get the support of the electorate, in a recent opinion poll on mainland Europe the majority were questioning the value of being part of the European Union but wanted to keep the Euro, obviously not appreciating that you can’t have one without the other, I wonder if they would vote for a German led United States of Europe? But it is the only way the Euro can survive and when ever has the European Union bureaucracy ever taken notice of voter opinion, the proposals being talked about by Angela Merkel include full political union with Europe wide political parties, full fiscal union and a European banking system.

David Cameron has promised to protect British interests and safeguard our influence over the single market but the UK could never sign up to this, the electorate would never allow it so how on earth can we protect long-term influence over the single market?

Just imagine as the inevitable integration of the European Union takes place and the ever rising tide of petty beaurocracy gathers pace, the single market will become ever more insular and uncompetitive to the world outside the Euro-Zone which includes the UK, can you imagine a super lean and competitive UK being able to have major influence over an ever mor bureaucracy and uncompetitive European Union, it will have to protect itself!

George Osborne has said we won’t sign up to any new initiative for political and fiscal union without protection for our financial services, well I have news for George Osborne, we can’t sign up to this proposal full stop and at that point we step outside the European Union bus, the only thing we then need is a binding trade agreement!

It is a fact that the Euro-Zone can’t survive without full political and fiscal union and at last Angela Merkel is openly admitting that fact in public but can she get the support of the electorate?

The one negotiating point we have in our favour is a trade agreement because we are, for example, the biggest trading partner of both Germany and France and they can’t afford to lose us, David Cameron should be able to negotiate a really good trading agreement, he will only have one shot!

This rescue package being proposed by Angela Merkel is essential for the European Union, Nick Clegg and Ken Clark would sign up to it without reading it they are so wedded to the European Union but it is the most fundamental change to the European Union since its inception and would commit us to full integration with the European Union so it would demand a referendum!

Nick Clegg will try to say it is just a paper exercise and doesn’t qualify for a referendum because he knows the British public would never vote for full integration and Clegg would lose his dream but the UK belongs outside the European Union, we are a proud independent trading nation always punching above our weight and our market is the rest of the world.

The European Union Juggernaut is strangling our recovery and our institutions so get involved in the debate on ‘Its just life’ and vote in the referendum when the time comes.
