Margaret Thatcher’s death, nasty politics and a threat to Democracy!

Margaret Thatcher’s death, in the eye’s of any right-minded person, is a massive loss to this country, Thatcher’s achievements in just one decade are immense, taking this country from being a joke as the Sick-Man-of-Europe to being one of the richest and most prosperous countries in the world could probably only have been done by Margaret Thatcher!

But the general vitriol and nasty celebration at her death, mainly by failed politicians/miners leaders and people who were not even around to understand the true state of our country is something we must all be ashamed of!

I will repeat that, the general vitriol and nasty celebration at her death, mainly by failed politicians/miners leaders and people who were not even around to understand the true state of our country is something we must all be ashamed of, because it highlights the real nasty side of our society and is an attack on our very freedoms and democracy!

Without question Margaret Thatcher saved the democracy of this country and saved it from perpetual decline, described by one politician as Korea without the hope.

It is obvious to everyone that all these attacks are coming from the far left-wing in our society and rest assured, they do not represent freedom and democracy, quite the opposite, they do not represent getting on in life and bettering yourself, they represent repression and keeping people at a certain level, reliant on the state.

This vicious attack was not only in the streets but in Parliament itself with 50% of Labour MP’s staying away from the session to pay tribute to Margaret Thatcher and others such as Glenda Jackson speaking with the equivalent of snake venom as they took their chance of a final attack on the person who has destroyed their power base by properly representing the ordinary people of her country and their aspirations, Glenda Jackson and her cohorts did nothing to enhance the reputation of Parliament or her country, one can only imagine what the rest of the world is thinking!

Without question Margaret Thatcher saved the democracy of this country and saved it from perpetual decline, described by one politician as Korea without the hope but what is Thatcher actually accused of and is it true?

First let us look at exactly what these left-wing union leaders like Arthur Scargill and left-wing politicians stood for, they liked to see society as people living in state-owned housing, in 1979 1/3rd of the UK population lived in state owned property (Council Housing) which was of Soviet proportions and even now 1/5th of our housing stock is state owned which is one of the highest proportions in Europe, working for a state-owned industry, getting sufficient pay to be reasonably happy but with very little opportunity to better their life they had and essentially owning practically nothing other than a stick of furniture, this of course did not apply to the union leaders who, as they do now, lived on the hog as if they were captains of industry!

Margaret Thatcher hated corporate, she was always on the side of the individual, of families, of her country, she wanted a true aspiration society.

What Margaret Thatcher is accused of is destroying our industrial base but in reality we did not have one, they were make-believe industries with British Steel, British Leyland, British Airways, Coal etc. losing the equivalent of £billions a year and only surviving on government hand-outs, they were the most inefficient industries in Europe.

In just ONE decade, remember that, ONE decade Margaret Thatcher turned all that around, she released them from union control and our major industries became some of the most efficient in the world, yes some such as coal declined almost to oblivion but all these industries were in free fall long before Thatcher arrived and if Margaret Thatcher had not won the 1984 miners strike this country would have been condemned to continuous undemocratic government by union control.

It is an interesting fact that although the Labour Party of the 1970s was very far left-wing many more mines were closed and many more miners lost their jobs during the short period of the Wilson/Benn stewardship than in the entire 11 years of the Thatcher Premiership, so even the Labour Party had recognised coal as a dying industry!

And there we have it, the nasty politics in this country is very nearly always from the left and this vitriolic celebration of Thatcher’s death is because she saved this country from curse of union control and destroyed any chance of Britain becoming a left-wing citadel with inevitably third world standing, Margaret Thatcher destroyed their dream and for that we all owe her a massive debt of gratitude.

What must be understood is that the left-wing want you to think/believe that Margaret Thatcher was on the side of the rich and big business but nothing is further from the truth, Thatcher was on the side of ordinary people, she wanted them to aspire to greater things, to better themselves.

Margaret Thatcher hated corporate, she was always on the side of the individual, of families, of her country, she wanted a true aspiration society, see below one of her greatest quotes:

The real meaning of freedom: “Let our children grow tall and yes let some grow taller if they have it in them, with freedom will come equality of opportunity and with that real freedom” Margaret Thatcher
